Vida, the mortgage lending specialist, has raised over £20,000 as part of a Christmas campaign for its charity partner Crisis, the national charity for people experiencing homelessness.

The lender donated £29.06 for every application received during December in a bid to ensure no one has to spend Christmas homeless and alone.

This comes after Vida’s first Alternative Marathon event earlier in 2021. The event involved employees at all levels, including Vida’s leadership team, taking part in a variety of activities, such as a 2.6-mile sky dive and mixed marathon relay, while CEO Anth Mooney walked a half marathon with his dog Walter.

This fundraising effort is part of a wider commitment Vida has made to Crisis.

The specialist lender has pledged to donate at least £150,000 to Crisis across three years, while a circle of charity champions in the business seek to inspire employees, intermediary partners, and customers to take action to help end homelessness across the UK.

Anth Mooney, CEO at Vida Homeloans, commented:

“Christmas is a time for giving, and we’re thrilled to have raised over £20,000 in support of Crisis helping 650 homeless people.

At Vida we believe no-one should be forced into homelessness and we want to bring attention to such an important cause and make a difference.

I know I speak for everyone at Vida when I say we are delighted to be partnered with Crisis to assist the fantastic work they do to change people’s lives for the better.”
