Mortgage Engine has announced the appointment of Natalie Strong as senior relationship manager. The appointment comes as part of the fintech’s drive to connect mortgage distributors with lenders, enabling an increased number of intermediaries to source DIPs from multiple lenders simultaneously.
Natalie joins the fintech platform with a diverse skillset and broad range of experience in financial services. An Australian native, Natalie worked as a financial adviser for more than five years, specialising in mortgages and wealth management before moving to London in 2018 to join the implementation team at software provider, Iress.
Mortgage Engine’ team, led by digital transformation specialist Cloë Atkinson, now stands 30 members strong.
Cloë Atkinson, managing director, Mortgage Engine said:
“Natalie is a welcome addition to the Mortgage Engine team, bringing wide-ranging experience that will be invaluable in her work helping distributors explore the benefits of API technology.
Mortgage intermediaries have faced unprecedented challenges during the coronavirus crisis. Our technology is designed to make their lives easier by reducing admin time spent on applications, allowing them to focus energy on serving their customers and guiding their businesses back to strength.”
Mortgage Engine is a fintech platform which uses API (application programming interface) technology to connect distributors with the back-office systems of lenders. It brought the first multi-DIP (decision in principle) proposition to the mortgage market in November 2019, allowing mortgage intermediaries to source DIPs from multiple lenders simultaneously without needing to re-key customer data during the application process.

“I have worked as a broker and understand the frustrations that come with outdated processes and not having the digital tools to improve them. I also have experience on the implementation side, working with distributors to adopt new technology and ensure it is helping them achieve what they want it to.
Mortgage Engine’s platform offers a simple solution to a problem that’s plagued brokers for years. For many, API technology could be the first step on the road to digitalisation across their businesses. I’ll be working with distributors across the UK to help them achieve that.”
